Megalodon, meaning "big tooth", is a species of shark.
Sadly, megalodons are now extinct, as they lived about 3.6-2.3 million years ago. They are rumored to have lived during the Early Miocene to the Pliocene ages. Megalodons are close relatives to the great white shark.
